Would you like to grow along with a successful company that integrates architecture and construction? Then seize this opportunity and apply for the position of work planner at COARE!

COARE is a design and realisation firm. Active in architecture and construction, we create and deliver projects for businesses and educational and healthcare institutions throughout the Netherlands. COARE specialises in designing inviting and inspiring work and living environments that motivate users, enhance communication, enjoyment and collaboration, and foster relationships and community building.

We are not your run-of-the-mill construction company. In our view, what marks us out is our unique approach and the high level of transparency that we provide to our clients. As fully-fledged participants, our clients are involved at every stage of the process. In addition, our client-centric approach is built upon working to a guaranteed timeframe and budget.

A workday at COARE as work planner:

At COARE, the types of clients and projects are very diverse. Our projects range greatly in size and cost, from EUR 20,000 to EUR 5 million. This is what makes the work varied and challenging. Although each day is different, your typical day as a work planner could look like this.

In the morning, you meet with the realisation manager to discuss the latest details of the various projects. A preliminary design for a new office building has been made. You and a colleague from the architecture department bounce ideas off each other about practical solutions, connection details and the project's timeframe. Your structural knowledge is greatly appreciated, which allows you to have a direct influence on the design process. You check the technical drawings and cost estimates that have been prepared by the design studio.

After lunch, you and the team manager draw up a plan for the tendering process. You review the technical drawings for accuracy and adequacy so that a request for tenders from various suppliers and sub-contractors can be released. In addition to drawing up sales orders and purchase orders, your responsibilities also include setting up and maintaining project administration. One of the important responsibilities of your position is managing the buying process. Once all materials and services are bought at competitive prices, your job is done. From here, the construction manager takes over but you will continue to monitor the project from a distance.

What do we offer?

  • A challenging job at an ambitious organisation with a unique and transparent approach.

  • The chance to realise unique projects for attractive organisations with a young and ambitious team.

  • An inspiring work environment in Amsterdam-Noord.

  • The possibility to grow with COARE and achieve your highest potential managing your department.

What do you need to bring to the job as medior/senior work planner?
