Welzorg is a distributor of mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and walkers, for elderly and disabled people. Two branches in Breda and Den Bosch had to be integrated in the new distribution centre in Raamsdonksveer. The warehouse in Raamsdonksveer was ideal in terms of logistics, but it lacked appropriate office spaces. With little to no natural light, illuminating the warehouse effectively posed lots of unique challenges. The first thing COARE did was install extra windows and rooflights.

Welzorg employees wanted the various functions and departments in the building to be optimally connected. To meet this need, COARE's design features ribbon areas that form an interlinked structure in the central part of the building, which ensure a continued sense of movement as the spaces flow into one another. The industrial look and original concrete floor accentuate the character of the warehouse's former life. Coloured carpet tiles have been used for added comfort and to create various distinctive open-plan zones, which provide the setting for the workplaces.  The layout of the desks provide ample privacy and keep conversations from being overheard or intrusive, despite the open-plan design of the office.

Welzorg has never before had a building that clearly communicates what they stand for, value and do. The bells and light switches have been installed at wheelchair height and serve as a reminder for employees and guests of the essence of Welzorg's work. At the entrance, there is a statue of a woman in a wheelchair welcoming visitors to the facility.
