Alkmaar & Dordrecht
As a waste disposal company, HVC feels strongly about sustainability and is always looking for ways to make waste processing more sustainable and economical by, for example, generating energy through recycling and reuse.
COARE Architecture was commissioned to design a new look for HVC's offices in Alkmaar and Dordrecht. A special requirement was that the offices should not only include workspaces, but also space for learning and training. HVC is a work placement company. Preparing the next generation for a sustainable future is an important commitment. To this end, schools are regularly invited to HVC's Experience exhibition space for demonstrations of new waste disposal and recycling technologies. For example, HVC uses crushed plastic and 3D printers to create furniture.
COARE Architecture's design has sustainability at its core. It even features furniture made out of recycled materials. Can't get much more circular than that! HVC invited COARE employees to share their vision on sustainable architecture and construction with 20,000 students, which made the experience all the more special.
